Def agree with a lot of this. I lived in Boston for 3 years after college and I just gotta say.. It doesn’t have too much going for it over other cities IMO. I like to call it the NFL Atlanta Falcons Hawaiian Shirt Stress Blessed Obsessed Tropical Palm Leaves Pattern that sleeps lol. As a mid-20s young professional, there’s no reason I’d want to live in Boston over other major cities. Not saying that you need crazy nightlife and stuff in order to want to live somewhere, but it’s nice to have options. I think Boston is really nice if you’re older with kids and stuff because there’s good schools and lots of good hospitals. Couldn’t agree more with everything shutting down super early. Even something like McDonalds shuts down at like 10pm downtown lol. T stops running before bars close sometimes. No happy hour or drink specials really. No real concentrated downtown area, bars kinda exist in little pockets that you gotta hop around to.
